What would a 25% increase in maize yield do for your farm?
Here is one of our technical agents Wynand visiting a farmer in the Bothaville district.
This farmer decided to make the brave move to introduce organic material into his mixed fertiliser strategy for his dryland mielies. This ensured that the plants were quickly given essential micro and macro elements and nitrogen which could be quickly absorbed by the plant due to the special fermentation production process used in manufacturing GuanoBoost.
He applied 2 applications GuanoBoost of 25L per hectare at a very early stage of 4 leaves and then on 6 leaves. There are 3 mielie heads on each plant, with an average of between 45 and 48 mielies per row, with 18 rows per mielie.
On the controlled field, they had an average of 5.5 – 6 tons per hectare. After GuanoBoost, they now have a 2-ton difference with an average crop estimate of 7.5 – 8 tons per hectare on the controlled mielies. The GuanoBoost mielies are about two feet higher than the other controlled part.
With these visible amazing results on the mielies, the farmer is very excited about the coming season’s results.
